Missy is away from her blog right now...

I hope you've all been having a fabulous Thanksgiving Holiday! I've been taking a tiny bit of time away from here last few days. Spending time with my family, of course. We had a great Thanksgiving at our place, with both of our mothers as guests of honor. Today we started to Chrismas-itize the house, with lights outside and the tree inside. It's been fun and a nice break from the usual grind.

Hey, if you haven't caught these two holiday posts of mine, you might want to check them out:

My goal this weekend is to edit, upload and order pics from the last 6 months, I'm so far behind! Then I can actually start thinking about holiday cards, oy! To give you something to look at, here are a few pics from Thanksgiving.

My mom, Grandma Peggy, playing Candy Land with Alex and Avery.

Mitch's Mom, Grandma Janean, playing with the kiddos in the kitchen.

Alex made place cards for dinner, it was a great way to get him involved.

Turkey centerpieces courtesy of Alex and Avery (daycare project). Love them!

Avery says dinner is delicious! Especially the corn and and potatoes!

Grandma Peggy and Avery.

I made my first ever homemade pie for Thanksgiving. It's a special safe pie for Avery, so she could enjoy pie despite her food allergies to milk, egg, nuts and soy. Avery and I enjoyed the apple pie, while everyone else had our usual french silk and pumpkin pre-made from a local restaurant.

Thank you to the head chef in our house, Mitch, for making a delicious feast for our family.

And to his mother, for doing so many dishes! :)
