I too 'stumbled' across your blog today and read through your post. I was reminded of my life only 3 years ago and felt the raw emotion you wrote into the words.

From yet another woman who has been "there", believe this: Just when you believe that the sun cannot POSSIBLY come up again on your pain: It Does... and you're never Alone through it.

hang in there. thanks for your comment on my blog. i mean this in a supportive way - it helps to see others going through similar things as me. not that i'm happy anyone HAS to go through it, but speaking the truth and giving voice to pain and reality is a difficult task for anyone. i'm proud of you for doing it - it makes me feel like i am also doing the right thing even though my family is mortified. we will get through this.

After reading your post and the 31 subsequent comments/voices of support and love, its a good reminder to all of us that getting real and vulnerable and just being at where we're at, well, girlfriends rally around. And, love flows!

I went through a sticky divorce when my three boys were 11, 13 and 15...nearly the most painful, difficult period of my life. That was back when blogs and such weren't here yet, but the support of a couple of good friends and my faith community got me through. I echo what Holly said:

1. Be open to receive and
2. Lean into God.
